Cultivating Young Leaders
Mandatory Orientation
Cultivating Young Leaders is a 6-week urban agriculture program for youth between the ages of 12-17. It is a summer program that will take place June 8th thru July 13 2026. Participants will meet once of week on Monday’s at the garden. Participants will learn how to prep soil for growth, when to plant seeds, and how to provide the nutrition those seeds need to grow into produce.
Interested participants MUST attend a mandatory Orientation with their parent or guardian that will be held Monday June 1st at 10:00 am or Saturday, June 6th at 10:30am, at My Mother’s Community Garden, 1305 W Martin, Peoria Il 61605
